    Default Black Guillemot

    Thisco-operative fellow was photographed few days ago at Isokari Island (near theFinnish coastline, Baltic Sea) where there is a small colony of BlackGuillemots breeding. We could only be there for two hours due to boat trip schedule- during the harsh 1...3 PM hours of course :)

    Canon 7D, 500/4, 1.4x, f/6.3, 1/1600s, ISO 400

    Great shot Seppo. Nice wing position, good detail under the wings good flight angle. The patterns in the water are terrific. Maybe a tiny bit more sharpening would make this even better.

    Great wings-up pose, and I like the "oily" quality of the water. I could see the whites under the wing lightened more, and I agree with another round of sharpening. I wouldn't mind seeing the subject lower in the frame too. Good job overall...
