Default Mt. Goat mama and babe

Hope you all don't get too tired of Mountain Goat images. I climbed on the rocks below these goats to get a different perspective. They looked at me for just a bit and then probably decided I was too clumsy to worry about .

    Canon 1D-Mark IV, Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS @ 80mm, 1/640, f/10, ISO 400.

    C & C most welcome.

    Doug,

Why do you feel this is a fabulous capture?

    Nancy,

I do agree with Doug, well done. The fact you have them looking at you makes the lower positioning of yourself work really well. And having the young one on the adult's back looking over amps up the cute quotation.

My preference, and of course beyond your control as the decisive moment was when they were looking, would have been to have the cloud providing more of the BG and a smaller strip of blue at the top. However, I feel this image came out really well, shows them in their natural habitat amongst the clouds and shows great personally in their faces.

Very nice! Like the young goat on the back. Nice clouds in the background as well.

Very nice image Nancy. Little guy is putting this over the top.

Huge cuteness factor here, Nancy. It's not easy keeping up with these guys and getting that intimate capture, but you succeeded.

Agree with above - but - framed a bit too tight for me.
The question of the clouds is interesting. I like the clouds since as Robert says clouds place them high were they live. But the one on the far right I think I'd like better if it were of the "wispy" kind. So next time easy on the cloud machine . Funny how we can be so picky sometimes

This is too cool Nancy! Really like the way it shows where they live and also conveys a sweet moment between mom and kid.

The clouds and sky are fine for my tastes...though I hear what Robert is saying . Having the white clouds behind them certainly shows how dirty they are hehe

Thank you everyone. I think wispy clouds would have been ideal .

Great detail and the colors look spot on all around. Great blue sky. I would loosen the crop for my taste or take a sliver off the bottom as presented.

Very sweet Nancy! You have captured a nice moment here

I would crop some bottom off as suggested by others. I also see a sensor dust spot on the top right corner of your image.

Nancy - great pose with the kid peeking over and mom's open mouth. I like the POV and you have nice detail. I agree with the suggestion for a little more space around or some off the bottom.

Really nice work here Nancy, this shot just jumped out from the thumbnails at me...
I like it all, pose, intimacy, and habitat. Agree with others on slightly wider crop if you have it.
    Super image

Cropping a bit off the bottom sounds good to me. Noelle, you have super sharp eyes for that URC dust spot! Again, thank you all for looking and commenting. I appreciate the advice.

How do you tire of these captures? I personally am jealous since never seeing one myself. I love everything about the image but just wished the far right side bg was blue sky not bright white clouds. Maybe a tad off the bottom too
