Light was a bit still a little hard when I went out to take some shore bird pictures and I saw this little fellow. Since this was the first time I photographer this bird I am happy for the shot. Comments are welcome.
I love the perfect field guide pose as is. The bird is a very, very worn adult Black-bellied Plover; not that many of the feathers are worn to the shaft. The image is sharp and the light is on the soft side despite the high position of the sun in the sky. You must have had a high cloud.
