This is a simple straight forward comp that had many difficulties attached to shooting it. First, my biggest problem is people. I want the image to have some artistic quality to it rather than a bunch of people in t shirts with kids. Therefore patience is mandatory. I wanted this shot so it took around 10 minutes of waiting when there was a window of opportunity(about 10 sec) Prior to taking the final image I did some practice images for exposure compensation and knew where I had to be. The sky was coming out blown so I ended up using a 3 stop GND to hold the blue.
In PP I straightened the building on the left and darkened the bright areas a bit. I lightened the tower's roof on the rt to bring out some detail. There was a small wall in the lower rt(cutting the corner) which I removed using content aware.
I applied PB and other minor tweaks to get the end result. All my PB images I also keep as straight images with no filtration...

This image works well for me! It invites me to walk down that lane and see what it around the corner, to look up at the towers and run my hands along the walls. Nice light coming in to highlight a few areas, especially with that red. PB works also. How did you straighten just one part of the image? Nice work. Your patience was rewarded.

The red sash/banner, draws my eye down the street. Nice exposure, PP and effects...keep them coming

Dave, The scene is very nice and I like the effect of the PB filter. I see some artifacts in the sky area that I would remove if it were mine. There are a few halos around the buildings but you did a good job of keeping them to a minimum.

Great pp work Dave, and I like tunnel effect staring down the lane. With this perspective and being so close to the building, I have no doubt you would have to straighten some of the buildings.

Hi Dave, love the comp and the PB work on this one. Nice that you were able to get one without people in the scene!

This is indeed a magical place. Comp is terrific and your patience paid off. I love the touches of red and green at the focal point.

Great pespective in this lovely scene. I like your Processing choice, and the red banner keeps the eye anchored in the image. Very nice work, Dave.
