Excellent pose, branch, bg, perch and especially exposure.
Great work with the flash to get details in both white and black.
Just love the perch and the pose. The comp is just perfect too.
    Very well done!

great use of flash for the blacks and whites. I really like the leafed branch and BG. Nice portrait, eye contact is spot on! TFS

Jack: Agree with Bob on the leaf. And the tail feathers look a bit soft to me; otherwise a beautiful bird.

Jack, looks really good to me! Love that background and the color, detail, and exposure are spot on. Nice job! I really like the soft light with the fill flash so nicely controlled.

Thank you all. It has been mostly overcast here for weeks and flash has been almost a given. I have

experimented with different settings and also learned a thing or two about flash from my last post.

As always thanks for all input.

Nice and as mentioned the flash compensation was an excellent choice I like the aperture selection too, nice DoF and composition is sweet. Love the foot on the leaf.
