    This is a black-capped chickadee (it might be hard to tell) - not the best body angle and not the most pleasing perch, but I was intrigued by how much those little wings and tail could move in 1/400 second. Note the feet are still firmly planted on the log. Maybe it's practicing to be a hummingbird. :) 40D, 500 f/4 +1.4X, 1/400, f/8, ISO 400. Enjoy! Comments welcome.

    That's cool Steve. Thanks for posting this - nice demonstration of how fast these birds can move standing still and a good primer on how much to pump up the shutter speed if you want to stop action.
