I really like the foreground, the curve of the fields, the barn, the tree line.....I might just cut back on the blue a bit in the sky...but Anita thats just me.....Lovely as presented..you have to love Topaz Effects.

Hi Anita, love the pano crop and the treatment. I think I might be tempted to tone down the blues a little also, but otherwise a lovely image.

Anita, I agree w/ toning down the sky a bit. It may also help make the slight halo around the tree line disappear since it's so faint. I love the line up of trees. Good eye to capture this peaceful winter scene.

Thank you for suggestions! It is so helpful to see my images through the eyes of others. Did I tone down the sky enough? Or, do I need to do more?

    Hey Anita,
Does look the same to me also......so I would go more agressive. Perhpas cyan may be the culprit too?
I do like the comp though so worth making the extra effort!

I need some help here. I want to tone down the blues, but am not succeeding. I'd like suggestions on what tool to use: Levels? Saturation? Color balance? Selective color? I've tried them all, and I can change the color of the blue, but the halo around the trees does not disappear. What do you all suggest?

    Procedure:

CS5 > Select Menu > Color Range (box ppears) > Select the color of blue sky using dropper (move your mouse over the image the dropper will appear) > moved the slider to the right until most of the blue can be seen in b&w image in box (selected color will be white) > ok (you'll see selected color is masked)

Image Menus > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation > open the menu where it says master > select blue > use the saturation slider to adjust to suit (lighter left/darker right).

I try not to adjust too much all in one try, lighten it a bit, click ok, then do the whole procedure again. You'll see what I mean...

I may have gone overboard on your image........but I wanted the ground to stand out.

Anita, this is a very nice composition and I love the interesting details. This reminds me so much of southern Indiana in the winter... There are many ways to get results in Photoshop. Here is a different method. I used Hue/Saturation and just lowered the blue saturation and lightness a bit. Nice image and thanks for letting us try different methods on your work.
