    Default infrared red tail

This was taken last spring in Mount Auburn cemetary with a converted d70 nikon camera.

I am contemplating having my d2x converted since the trade in value has declined so much

    Nikon d70 converted to infered
    400mm 2.8
    1.7 ext
    f7.1
    1/160th
    ISO 200

converted to b/w in lightroom and cs3

    John:

A lovely image. I really enjoy IR images, and it really makes the eye in this one riveting. Who did your D70 conversion?

Very nice and great head angle. Would love to see the mid tones a bit blacker.

    later and love, artie

ps: You could have titled it "Infrared-tailed Hawk."

Real nice pose. I might be tempted to bring up the blacks a touch.

Funny you mention converting your D2X, I'm thinking about the same thing since I can't seem to sell mine either.

Great idea, love post number 2. Good to see this as I am looking at doing an IR conversion for landscapes.
