I saw these guys for the first time a few weeks ago on my way home. Decided to go back this weekend and see if I could find them again. This guy cooperated fairly well.
1dMIII, 700mm, FF, f/9, 1/800, ISO 1600, audio attracted. Approx 60% of FF, second catch-light removed, burned some areas on perch,NR and sharpened.

Nice crisp image. I really like the feather detail and nice singing pose. Great BG colors add interest to the B&W bird.

Great shot of the b&w. I like the open beak and the flakey texture of the perch

Super job on this image, Neil! Nice detail in feathers, good catchlight, the singing bird is a plus, and beautiful BG. You did a good job toning down highlights on the perch. TFS!

One of my favorite warblers - they're just too cool.
    Excellent details and singing pose.
Wish the shooting angle was less steep, but would love to have this one.

Cool singing pose, and the bird is nice and sharp. I like the detail on the perch.

    Hey Neil,
Great job taming the perch as it's textures add a lot to the image. You also did a nice job with the BG......it easly could have overpowered the bird. Nicely done overall!
