    Default Pied Kingfishers

Nikon D3 600VR 1/5000 at F5.6 ISO 400...- 0.7EV. I was looking at this female Pied kingfisher on the river bank, when all of a sudden, the male flew in and gave her a fish. A great moment to see and photograph

Absolutely awesome shot! I love the interaction, the POV and the fact that you can see the eye on both birds. A winner for sure!

Many of us have not had even a glimpse of this skittish bird and many could not capture them in flight... You handled what looks like harsh sunlight pretty well.

    Superb capture!!! TFS

Excellento, great bird behavior and ss sliced a lovely capture. When I look at the flying birds neck, I see a faint glow of yellow alongside the white. Maybe I am even seeing things! anyone else see this?

Can't believe you can get that close to these guys. I'm so happy for you to get the surprise of the male coming in with food even. Great shot all over.

Very nice action / behavior capture, Vivaldo! Way to take advantage of the opportunity, and nice job getting them both nice and clear.

They should start calling you "lucky Vivaldo" What a great shot and wow you nailed it! I love the interaction shots like this, and to get KF is a bonus.

I know how fast this happens, so very well timed to capture the moment. Both well exposed, and good to see a PK on a different perch.

Thanks very much for all comments apprecaited Will have a look at yellows alongside whites, thanks for pinting this out. I was trying to reduce blown whites in that area, applied selective colur burn to that area.
