    I used Alien Skin's Snap Art impasto filter to create this painted effect. The company just released Snap Art 3 and here is a link to a free trial offer. They have several other filters that you can try also.

    The effect and image are sweet...gotta love the chicks....position in frame of adult and baby, different colors of sand and texture make this image...Well Done

    This is beautiful, Denise. Love the plovers and the sweet light. The effect on the sand is very interesting. Nicely done.

    Love the effwect on the sand. It seems to soften the detail in the Plovers????

    Great base image, Denise, and like the impressionistic painted look to this. The softness fits with the gentle interaction of the moment. Nicely done!

    Denise, I think this is extraordinary. Light, composition, shadows, and the processing is superb. I just keep looking at this one. Just love it - very nice stuff!
