Thought I would see what Fractilius did to my former post of the blurred gull. Improvement? I might add color with color efex or possibly leave it as is. What do you think?

    Hey Bob,
I think the B&W works....can you pull out any of the fine fract details in the head/bill area as well as the tail. Looks like you have them in there and I think this will give it even more interest.

Hi Bob- I'm not even a small fan of Fractilius but in this case I will make an exception. I think the image is superb. I like it because it's so abstract. Love the vignetting, the contour lines created by the software and the composition. The B/W makes it for me. I can really see this framed on a wall.

Bob, I'm a huge fan of the Fractalius filter and this image shows why! The crackled glow lines add a nice bit of interest to the image. Nicely done.

Beautiful composition, Bob. I like your OOTB thinking with those fracted lines and b&w. I think trying out Roman's suggestion will make this even stronger.

    Thanks everyone!
Roman....I am afraid i don't know how to draw out detail with this filter. I mostly play with the sliders not really knowing what each one does. Are there some generalities as to what each slider can do? :2

    Hey Bob,
I think you could just select the head.....go in with a levels layer increasing both the whites and black. The white slider should bring out the fine while lines and then the blakc should make iot more the same tone as the rest of the body. Make sense?
