I am tempted to take out the pink hue to the right of the bird. Is it too distracting?

    Noelle:

Looks like he is showing off his yellow slippers!
I like the ruffled crown, composition, not really bothered by the color you mentioned

Not bothered either. That's a great hair-do and the feet are, of course, fabulous!

Love this shot! Love the hair and the foot lifted up. The dark BG compliments the white bird beautifully. I would remove the pinkish area if it was mine. I would love to see this as a vertical.
    Well done,

Great capture and comp, Noelle! This guy looks like a total rock & roller, just needs a cig & guitar - like the one leg up pose, nice perch, and great BG. Pink hue not distracting, but easy fix. Nice work!

I have a feeling with 10 days shooting out in Flordia, you guys are just getting warmed up! Look forward to seeing some great stuff, especially the unique Kayak angles!

What a stunner of a shot, Noelle! Great exposure, BG and sharpness. Love the raised foot. Nice soft (cloudy?) light.

Super shot, Noelle. Wonderful pose, perch, HA, hairdo, and killer BG. I might not have noticed the pink patch, but since you mentioned it, it would be easy to remove.

Hi Noelle, always good when something extra adds to a pose, like the raised foot, and shows off the yellow nicely too. I like the raised crown, together with the layered BG. I would leave the pink spot. The whites didnt look right to me, as I thought there was a yellow cast in them. Checking them in PS, you will find the whites are too yellow. Desaturating the yellows will sort him out.

Gorgeous doesn't get much better than this. I cannot think why you would need to remove the pink area, sometimes I think we try to make things too perfect and nature just isn't like that most of the time.

I think the pink adds to the image, gives a bit of color to the BG.
    Beautiful image.

    Hey Noelle,
Love the pose and the spiked do put's it over the top. The bit of color caste is easy tweak....and a great job overall capturing hte action.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone!

I will fix the color cast soon and re-post, I am tired from an 11 hour drive home today.
