    40D. 400 f5.6L at f/6.3. iso 320. 1/2500s. evening light.

    manual metering. very important as the egret flew in against sky BG and then landed in front of the trees.

    This one had nice red lores that they get in peak breeding stage.

    I like the colourful background. I wish the nice looking yellow feet were more yellow.

    Yes, great landing pose, I like your exposure and comp both. only nit is the green grass looks a bit grayish looking.

    Kaustubh, nice exposure of the whites I like the sharpness of the egret but a little more eye contact make the picture more stunning in my eyes.

    I really like the contrast between the white bird and the BG. It makes such a difference when you are photographing egrets.

    Nice landing pose and sharp wing details.

    Excellent pose, light and setting, Kaustubh.
    The comp and bird placement in the frame are just perfect imo. I don't mind the lack of direct eye contact at all. I like how both eyes are visible and that the fact that he's intently looking for a safe landing makes this more dynamic for me.
