Spent ten days down in the Keys and surrounding area of Florida. It was a wonderful time with so many great birding opportunities.

Not sure on the ID for this cutie pie since I am not too familiar with all the shore bird names Here is my guess.. Juvenile Curlew :2

No help from me on ID. Do love this stunning image. Low angle is everything.

    Hi,

The bird appears to be a Marbled godwit. Nice low angle, sharp head and eye, and I like the light coming in from upper right. There is a slightly misty overall quality to the image, which I find very atmospheric.

I like the color of this bird. The low position is great, nice on eye level. But I would try if the picture was mine to tone down the light spot in the upper right corner. But feather a beautiful picture of a stunning bird.

Chad, excellent low shooting angle, soft light and details. DOF is very good for wide-open. I am guessing you have room around. Some more on top will make this better IMO. Even a vertical should work well...that will also eliminate the white bright area in urc.

Like the low angle and soft light!

Image looks a bit light and flat and I'm seeing a green cast compared to my memory of this species.
Let me know if you'd like to see my attempt at a re-post.

Great shot Chad -- well worth getting wet for! The low angle makes the image.

Very nice image good detail and exposure, the pale are doesn't bother me one bit, it looks entirely natural and to me it is not intrusive - but that is just me, I think we look at things slightly differently on this side of the pond.

I added some Magenta, darkened the mid-tones a bit using Levels and added a touch of contrast using Curves. Of course, you could get better results working on the master file. See what you think ....

Thanks for the repost Mike, the color shift does help the image.

Very nice low angle and setting, Chad.
I like Mike's repost with the green cast removed.
I took the liberty to download and play with it (hope you don't mind).
As I'm learning PS, I added canvas above for the vert, did minor shadows and highlights work, cropped 3:4, removed some of the specular highlights around the feet and toned down the bright spot somewhat.
I wish there was 1/4th inch below in which case I'd crop that much from above.
Looking forward to more of your images from Florida.
