    Default Whimbrel Drinking

Taken when I visited a local creek mouth yesterday. I laid down about ten feet away from the creek mouth and waited. This Whimbrel flew in for a quick drink among a group of Heerman's Gulls and a lone Black Oystercatcher.

Amazing light and pose. Just love the water drops, the head turn and the way the oof vegetation in the fg and the bg sandwich the beautiful water.
Looks like it needs a tiny bit of CW rotation. I also find it a tag tight on the left edge. But these are just minor points.
This is a terrific image, would love to see it bigger.

I would have love to have seen this bigger, a superb image, love the waterdroplets and super light and very sharp. I would clone FG greenery.

Aidan, wonderful shot...low angle, pose, water drops, clean BG, light angle, head angle...everything nailed. Liked how you got the bird perfectly in the blue band.

Agree that it needs a little more room on the left.

Thanks everyone. I agree that a little more room on the left would be nice.
