This is another older shot taken with my then current 20D. Lens used was my 300mm f4, 1/640s @ f6.3, ISO 100. Comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

Lovely! A bit tight in the frame for my taste but An awesome capture.

excellent pose and wing positions, fish is a big plus, a fish with its head intact, light was not the best but handled it well, colors could go a bit warmer.

Ofer -- thanks for your feedback. I remember having to quickly adjust my position backwards away from this pair to fit them into my frame. With such a simple BG I could add some canvas and see how it looks.
Arash -- I recall the sky causing me grief during my WB adjustments -- adding warmth to the bird caused a serious purple sky. Maybe it's time to revisit with my current PS skills and separate the pair from the sky and adjust accordingly.
Thanks to you both for your feedback. Much appreciated.
Ditto above. Superb pose and lovely detail! Well captured indeed.![]()
Good white exposure, love the open wings and the fish is a real deal maker. And you can see both eyes, fish and bird. Fish is probably thinking "good bye boys"!
Very nice wing spread, huge catch and good balance. nice perch. Agree that its tight good thing you did not clip anything. Adding canvas will help. If mine, I'd also try a round of sharpening( but make sure you exclude edges to avoid the halo)
Great image especially with the fish. If possible in the original photo I would have loosened it up a bit as the crop is tight. I suspect that wasn't possible as I find myself too close to the subject with too much lens on the camera quite often.
