    Default Common Yellowthroat on Chickory

Took this the other morning when we had a rare (these days) break in the hot sun and oppressive heat. A nice high cloud bank rolled in and allowed for some very nice soft light to fall down upon me in this field.

As always C&C welcomed and encouraged. Hope you have enjoyed.

    Lovely image, Jason!
Great pose, perch, and BG with excellent detail!

Might try toning down the flower just a bit and maybe some more room on right and bottom if you have it.

    What a wonderful capture!

Everything looks almost perfect here. I agree with Mike on having little more room on right.

Beautiful image overall! I agree with the boys' suggestions, and I would also fiddle with the white balance (warm it up) as the image seems a bit on the cyan / blue "cool" side of things. Just a smidgen more head turn would have been great. Exposure and details are spot-on and I love the bright overcast light.

Agree with the above, just that slight head turn would have perfect. As is, still a winner for me though, well done

Jason, what a shot. colors, pose, flower, exp., yellows, soft light, IQ...top notch. Best part is the DOF. good call on f-stop.

My personal preference would be more room on top and left to leave some more room around the flower. If you are willing to post the orig, I can take a stab at recropping.

Thanks for all the replies. This is from a full frame horizontal shot, cropped to this vertical presentation. So no more room on top. Thanks for all the kind replies and tips on how to improve the image.
