It certainly is an interesting looking face and a very tight shot as well.

    Great looking bg.

I wonder if a slight move back away from the grasshopper would have given a bit more dof for the oof antenna and included the fg leg without hurting the bg. Hindsight can be so good at times.

I am curious about the make of camera and lens you are using if you don't mind. I am thinking of possibly upgrading my Canon 100mm macro lens to something a bit longer. Tks.

Cool looking insect. Good BG and sharp on the eye and head. Agree about the oof antena and including the fg leg. Still a nice one.

    Hey Carlo,
I too wish the FG leg was in like the others above. Good advice by them on the DOF too. Still a very good shot of this unusual looking grasshopper!

Hi Carlo. This is, indeed, a very cool looking grasshopper! I like the background and the diagonal comp, but like the others, I would wish for a little more DOF - more depth would put this one over the top.

    thanks everyone for comments
It's a subjet very difficult for a good compo because it's a very large grasshopher and the legs are very long
I put one shots of intere insects for to better understand
