I went to the local pond in Pretoria on saturday morning, and came away with this Egyptian goose in flight. The BG is distant OOF trees.

Sweet light, gorgeous BG, and a great calling pose with good eye contact. I might back off slightly on the sharpening, and I'd try to bring up the darks a bit.

Wow, just a beautiful BG and focus.
I would also lighten a tad.

Stu great flight angle, sharp and love the open beak. Love the BG in this image. I would agree with lightening black slightly.

It looks like lovely light and an excellent choice for a bg.

I really like the nice pose and particularly the head with nice eye and open bill.

Well done on a very photogenic bird.
