Beautiful bird, Jack, but the focus is very soft.

Hi Jack, Beautiful little bird with a great pose and a wonderful BG. I do find it to be soft on my monitor and would also like to see it off centered. Cropping a little more off the left and more off the right but leaving more than on the left so the bird is situated to the left of center. Many thanks for sharing.

Great looking little bird Jack. Del and Judy have already commented about the focus.

Nice photo with a great pose. I applied an unsharp mask (500/.3/0) to sharpen a bit.

Well done on the re-post Sid, and thanks! I am fine with the COMP (Judy Lynn, there is 3X as much space from the bill tip to the frame edge than from the tip of the tail to the frame edge.) The broken stick, however, is a distraction. Jack, is this a perch that you put up? You can learn how to properly sharpen your JPEGs and how to select atractive perches in ABP II.

    Later and love, artie

I just received ABP II and will check out the perch selection as this was a perch I set up in the back yard. Finding the right balance
on sharpening is something I'll have to work on. To me Sid's looks a little oversharpened, but it is good to know that the image
can be fixed in that regard and the original image is not too far out of focus ( this was a manual focus owing to the 100-400 + 1.4TC).
