I photographed this deep blue Voilet Sabrewing in the rainforest of Costa Rica earlier this year. It really is this deep saturated color. I used Topaz, smooth portrait and the PS liquify.

Nancy, I like your creative approach here. The pose with blurred wings and liquified bg gives the feeling of motion and dreamy effect. Love the wonderful vibrant color of the hummer with that water drop on the tip of the bill. Excellent work!

The bird is gorgeous and I love the way you twirled the background; it works well with the vibrant bird.

Big fun in this image Nancy, I love the twirl and the colors. What amazing saturation to find in nature! I like how the liquify filter effect mimics the shape of the wings.

Thank you everyone! These deep blue hummingbirds are impressive to see. They generally are in the shadows, making the blues even deeper looking.

Hi Nancy, You really created a unique image here. I think it's fun and you balanced the comp. nicely with the use of the liquify tool.

Very creative OOTB image, Nancy, and nice base image of the Sabrewing. Wonderful color, and like your artistic combination of filters - makes it fun and has lots of energy! Well done!

I love what you did with the BG and the branch! They work beautifully to frame the brilliant bird.
