    Default My Tern

I took this shot in Southern California during the workshop. This is a classic Bolsa Chica BG. Terns are such graceful fliers and have so many cool behaviors that I never get tired of photographing them.

    Doug:

I like the banking pose with up turned tail feathers, prey, nice dorsal view, sharp.

I might like a tiny sliver more room at top.

    Cheers

Banking pose and topside view make this one sweet. Great exposure as well.

Doug, you have nailed the flight posture nicely here. The tern is tack sharp, very well exposed, and the fish and droplets, just adds that little bit more. Seems like you've got yourself a great location for producing an excellent BG.

This is superb! Love the topside look at the wings, the fish, both fish and bird eye looking at you and the BG. Love it,

Elegant, indeed. the angle of the tern is perfect and being able to see the eye of the fish( and its profile) makes a big difference.

Great shot and super sharp. The drops of water and the position of the fish are great and the bg is a beautiful mix of colors. I also really like the angle of the top of the wings.

Love the varied BG colors, light, exposure and sharpness of the image. Any chance you have a bit more room at the top? Nice!
