These White-Fronted Bee eaters were out and about catching food for their youngsters. Their nests were in the side of a river embankment, and the perch is an exposed root of a tree.

Truly fantastic image Stuart. Amazing light, striking birds, both with food. Two perfect HAs, sharp and everything in focus (at f 5.6 no less). Expertly processed too.
Hope to make it to South Africa someday.

Love the birds and the front and back view and the bugs and the BG. I am not crazy about the perch and might brighten the picture. On my monitor it looks very dark,

Cool!! Both birds with a bug!!! I love how you managed both front and back views.
Super golden light you were blessed with.

I feel the perch is a little overpowering but you can't control nature and I would be over the moon if this photograph came from my camera!!!!

Super! Like Chris I love the alternate front-back poses. Double bug-in-bills is very cool. Background couldn't be better. The perch is so-so, but definitely unique.

Nice PS work on getting a bug in each mouth... and I am kidding! That really is awesome and I am jealous as all heck. I've not even had a sighting of these cool birds but to get two at once with a bug. Too cool. Your dof is perfect for nice sharp birds and perch and a sweet soft bg. Love it
