Good morning folks. It's been a while since I've posted a "normal" bird shot around here. It's been crazy the last couple months with "snow birds" visiting non stop for weeks. I did get the chance to go shooting with some fellow photogs.
Took the boat out to a wood stork island early one morning. Had some nice light and lots of woodie action. :D It was very windy and it was hard to control the boat and keep it from swaying. Still had a great time and ended up with lots of pics like this one. I kind of like the wing position/pose on this one.
Thanks for looking.

Great timing Mike !! Love the pose in this capture as well as good lighting. Glad you were able to get out to shoot for awhile . I know what it is like as we are definitely in a destination area.
Excellent landing position Mike !!! Along with a great light angle and soft light A winning combination Would bump up the contrast a bit for some umph !!! I like it a lot !!!
Love the wing position and sharpness. Would have preferred that the bird be completely above the vegetation.
later and love, artie

Thank you Ladies & Gents. Always appreciate the kind words and feedback. I'm with you Artie. I too wish the bird had cleared the trees. Not many did this day as it was very windy and the birds would fly low along the water on the back side of the island and then at the last second..swoop up to land. Most often the did not clear the tops of the trees. Hope to get back soon and take another shot at them.
