    Default Got it! Osprey catch

One of the last pictures taken with my poor deceased D3.

    D3 w/ Sigma 300-800 @ 800mm, f/8, 1/2000, ISO800, Dynamic 51pt, spot meter, +1EC, Gitzo+gimbal, probably 100+yds away, aprox 25% of original.

It suffers from the hard crop, but they just were not cooperating and I couldn't get closer.

Action is great but IQ is quite low.

Yep, but I was just happy to catch them at all. I was on a 3 day business trip in VA and managed to find a bit of time to go find some Ospreys.

    Steven:

Great action/catch, IQ is the limiting factor.

Might consider a crop from top, more of a pano look.

    What happened to the D3?

    Cheers

Randy, the D3 took a bath while kayaking....but it was insured for that kind of thing.
Now I'm in a holding pattern waiting to see what the D4 is going to be.
