Hi All,
Hopefully I am writing this in the right forum!
Ideally what I am looking to do is to find a way to use my ipad to "preview" photos taken on my 1DMk3. In essence, using the ipad as a big viewer without necessarily having to download the photos to it from the camera, but I do not think anybody has come up with a way to do that yet. (If you have, please let me know!)
Using the Eye-fi card might make for an interesting solution but am wondering if anybody has had any good/bad experiences using the Eye-fi cards.
What I am thinking I would be able to do is shoot RAW files transferred to the CF card, and simultaneously write small jpegs to the "Eye-fi" SD card which would be wirelessly transferred to the iPad and could be reviewed right away on a larger sharper screen than the back of the camera. (My thinking is that the small jpegs would take a lot less space, but still give me the opportunity to preview on the Ipad in the field)
I did get the ipad Camera Connection kit, but don't like the idea of having to transfer ALL the images to the iPad from the camera (I suspect that it would fill the pad memory pretty quick while on VK) as well as having to connect the camera to the Pad while in the field.
So, anybody have any thoughts/experiences?
