A lovely image. Eye contact with both the chick and parent is very good.

Absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing. I'd print this one.

Love it, being on work monitor are the whites in check on the bill (just can't tell with this display). I might mute the spots in upper frame - but that's me.

The grebes are spot on and I like the heavy vegetation. Consider toning down the bright spots in the bg.

Hi Enrique, lovely capture and super presentation. Whites are fine and look great. A little bit of separation between the two would put this one over the top!

Wonderful, sweet interaction capture, Enrique! Nice composition and like and surrounding green plants provide great FG & BG. Nicely done!

Congrats, this just jumps out at me and it is spectacular. Love the low angle and beautiful eye contact, such a beautiful composition. The sharpness invites me to pause at every new texture and color. What a gem. Did you stumble upon this family or have you been watching this duo for awhile? TFS, Ann

    Thanks Brendan, Ann and Kerry.

Kerry, separation would mean the chick would be off the parent's back... :2 ...

    Ann,
I was looking for another family that I had seen parents sitting on eggs a couple of weeks back. Found the parents, but not the chicks. Not knowing much about the biology of grebes, I could not figure out if the chicks were hidden somewhere as they must have been very young, or what?!?! But on my way back to the dock I saw these and proceeded to photograph them. I have many frames from them. This one is my favorite.

This image is WAY over the top as presnted. Separation between the birds is PERFECT IMO.
