    Canon 7D Canon 500mm f4 L IS & 1.4TC handheld Auto ISO 640 1/1600 sec f5.6
    I was out walking Barney - this was taken quite late on about 8.12pm. At first the lark flew off but I re-approached slowly and got to about 10m distance.
    Minor adjustment in Adobe RAW and a crop, selective sharpen using a layer mask.
    All C & C welcome.

    Lovely bg, sharpness and details. Food is a big bonus.
    I read Roger Clark's thread on phase angle with great interest and this seems to be a good example where not being exactly down sun angle has helped with the details.
    Nits - slight head turn, better/natural perch and some more DOF if possible would have been great.
    But do like the image as presented.

    Head turn and man made perch don't bother me but I would consider adding more room at bottom of frame. Detail is superb, well done

    Lovely coloured background. Great detail too. Ditto on the perch... Lovely portrait!

    Thanks for the C&C I did in fact consider extending the base but all it is, is a fence post so I reckoned I would have been hammered if I had put much more in!!
