least tern chick
Yesterday morning I went to the beach hoping to shoot least tern chicks. Last week there were several nesting terns but no chicks.
They had hatched. This one was shot shortly after sunrise.

This is a wonderful image in sweet light.

You nailed this one Allan. The fill flash is subtle and enhances some already sweet light.
I like it a lot. Superb detail and exposure! Love the light a well.
Super portrait!
Well done. loved the sand mound, light, comp and the subject, of course. Good call on the -2EV.

Allan, I like how you have captured the little guy on top of one of the sand mounds. Good angle, and just love the soft plumage.
Too sweet. I just love these little chicks. Great light and dof. Nice soft surroundings compliment the baby downy feathers.
Allan, Just beautiful. Love the light and the background!

Wow, this is really nice.
What a beautiful BG color and just enough sharp FG.
Totally wonderful. Beautiful subject, light and background.
Thanks. I appreciated the fact the chick decided to stop on this small hill with a great background.
Notice how soft the windblown sand was - the tiny thing's weight buried one foot.
