    When I saw the pictures of Craig Brelsford, I was pretty much envy. I know some very great difficulty to photograph this kind of pictures, and his pictures of the Crested KF are fascinating!! Hours of sitting in a tent, a lot of attempts and a million disappointments. This is a repost, it was taken in September 2007. Hope you like it.
    Mark II 600 mm with TC 1.4 1/3200 f5.6 ISO200.

    very intersting..gook light ..the only problem (if it could be) is no possible see the eye

    Haim, I was surprised and honored to see my name in the title of your thread. Thanks. I wish I had a pied kingfisher as good as this one of yours; I don't, not yet. True, we can't see your pied's eye, but then, the action is so powerful that I'm compelled to stare at the photo. I'm always on the lookout for action and flight shots, because those are the images that usually command the most interest.

    Thank you very much.

    No chance to see the eye just because while diving and water exit the eye covered with a white crust.

    Wonderful action shot...I wish you could get the eye...but overall image looks dark to me.
