    I stalked this bird for quite some time in Lamington NP in Australia
    Nikon 200-400mm
    Nikon D-300
    1/250 sec at f4
    Fill Flash
    ISO 400
    cropped, contrast adjustment
    Eager to Learn so....All Comments welcome!

    Bob,

    Thanks for sharing the bird is beautiful and I like the fact you stayed with it and got the shot. A few comments, the f/4 has such a shallow depth of field the tail is slightly OOF. IMO, the picture is nice but would be strengthened if the beautiful-fanned tail were more in plane. Being a bit picky here but just trying to help, wish the tail were not clipped by the tree and evict the leaves in top right hand corner. The eye contains many reflections as well.

    Love the pose and colors are great - keep em coming.

    Hi Bob, I can see why you would want to stalk this little bird! What a cutie! Some good points made by Jeff. I might add a little NR on the background and tone down the bright area directly above the bird. Good work to get the shot.

    Bob - your stalking paid off well. Nice pov and pose. Some good suggestions above. I do find the bright area above the bird a little distracting.

    Bob, beautiful bird! and good advice from above . . . I might add that I'd consider taking a bit off the bottom.
