A great image. The image could go a bit brighter and be warmed up a bit.

Like the repost. Wonderful capture with both looking towards you.
You could reduce the noise in the bg and clean it up a bit too (if you so desire.)
Looks better after lightening it up. Wonderful moment and shooting angle.
It definitely needs some more room at top, IMO. Please let us know the aperture and shutter speed. Thx.
re-post looks better. Would also take a bit off the bottom.
hello re posted is very ok..but also the primitive shoot is well composed!
Marvelous image.
Repost looks great. LIke the open bill in the adult and chick. Like the little bit of the eye in the chick as well.
Great low angle and exposure with good detail captured.
Kaustubh,
Thanks for your comment. I added some room on top, and made another print. It did look better. No point in posting another version, however.
The shutter speed was 1/1000th, at F11 iso 200 with -1.3 EV. The D7000 has problems with overexposure of highlights. With this beach location, the -EV was needed.
Thanks again.

thx. We all crop too tight at times and that is where a place like BPN comes in handy.
Very nice capture! I like the way the adult is sheltering the chick with it's wing. Two open bills is a big plus. It must have been a hot day.
