    Another of the osprey flying into the nest, this time with the full nest which contained at least 2 juveniles. Taken on the North Fork of L.I.

    Canon 7D
    100-400 @ 235mm
    1/2000
    f6.3
    ISO 800
    EC +1.67
    HH using the car as a blind, cropped by about 25% for comp and to eliminate the platform that holds the nest, curves adjustment and selectively sharpened in CS5.

    Hi Rachel.....very nice capture of a moment. I like the angle the bird is coming into the nest and the wing position. This shot does have an energy! Technically you might want to lighten the face and sharpen it and the claws if you can.

    Nice action captured Rachel, good job with the BIF shooting! Good suggestions by Bob also regarding lightening and sharpening. Was it possible to get around to the right so you could have the osprey coming toward you?

    Like including the nest to better tell the story. Nice high-key type of image and a cool moment in the life of nature. Good comments above as well.
