Stunning image! Looks about perfect to me. Very Alan Murphy-esque :)
More than full frame? I'm guessing composite.
But headed straight to the general photography forum to know the "how to".

And you say you're not an artist Ofer
Fantastic PP work and excellent sharpness and colours. The pose would suggest a horizontal format to me but this works well with everything nicely balanced. Well done

I was thinking something along these lines but doesn't seem to have the same balance as your composition on second thoughts. Was a fun exercise for me though

Thanks Paul. Your repost looks very similar to the first shot I took in order to make this image - check out pan #82 and #83 in here:

Love the portrait crop and the BG and detail is amazing. Love the perch and the comp is balanced perfectly IMO.

Ofer, I really like the comp here, together with the pose and cocked tail. Good sharp detail on the little guy, and against a great BG. Well captured.

    Ofer:

Excellent techs, and I think the original crop/comp works great. The balance of elements here is excellent, dare I say, artistic looking Could not be better arranged in a painting.

    Cheers

Love it Ofer. The image is full of interest and just jumps off the page.

I saw how you made this one and was not able to comment before the thread was closed. You used what is now a standard technique of stitching and I think it is an entirely acceptable way of producing both a photo-journalistic image and art. too bad the major competitions would not accept it. Their loss as far as I am concerned.

    Thanks John,
Isn't it a bit of a hypocrisy that stitching is allowed in competitions when it comes to landscapes but it is not allowed when it comes to wildlife...?:2

This picture has it all, Ofer. I like the original crop better but I think it is a personal preference
    as everything else.
