Mitch, I agree with Paul, I may have moved the bird a little back in the frame. Neat colors and processing. I think you added some fun to this image!

    Hi Mitch.

I like the bird, and the clever idea of placing it above the clouds.

If I were you I'd crop some off left, right and below the bird, and add some canvas above if I could. But the colors really bother me. I find them to be disturbingly unnatural. This forum provides wide artistic latitude, but I wish you hadn't gone quite so far with the colors.

Still, your image is very interesting, and I appreciate seeing it. Thanks.

    Paul,

I don't want to move the bird in the frame, but I do agree with you. I have more space on the "cloud" background that I didn't use, so I will rework this to add more background on the left. I think it will work out better. Do you think I should desaturate a bit as others have thought it too garish?

    Thanks.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will rework this image adding more of the background image on the left ( I have plenty of room here as it was a stitched pano I shot from my window seat on Southwest Airlines). I don't want to move the bird in the frame as I like the way the wing fits into the clouds.

    Thanks for looking.

Hi Mitch, nice work on the composite. I agree with Norm on the colors. When you want to use color as an efect, it is best to have different colors be a little a little farther apart on the color wheel. The colors of the bird and the background could be altered to make them more complimentary.

Mitch, love the colors, agree on having the bird a little more to the right. Nice work!

I like it, but then, I like bright colors. The "garish" colors work well with the processing. The bird stands out from the clouds. I like the curve of the clouds around the front of the bird. It is the type of photo for OOTB.
