    Hi Vivaldo

slight light yellow issue again, also halo around this cheetah body as well..more noticeable when u get rid of yellow cast and do a small levels adj...

not too certain of your workflow .. did u try and recover your whites? if you push it too high can cause this halo effect...

A very nice regal pose, great details and I like the composition with the bush on the right.

Vivaldo - Nice comp and good head turn towards you. I too like the inclusion of the grass. Good points raised by Peter.

I'm doing my best to see the halo around the body. Including taking image into PS - adding blue, or adding layers that multiple, or adjusting for extreme contrast and brightness. Only thing I can maybe see is a little less noise around parts of the body. But halo - hello!!!
Please, for my (continuing) education can someone process the image to make the halo pop out, or, make and show some PS measurements (like 250, 248, 247) that proves the halo?? If it can be seen, can't we measure it?? Thanks.

ps - and please don't respond with - well if you can't see it, I can't help you. Got that crack before here, last year :(

Tom IMO there is a slight halo around the cheetah but it's hardly visible. My workflow was nothing fancy, just used the normal raw converter adjustments. In PS I used curves, add a little saturation and sharpened for the web. The original image was exposed properly, so I am confused:2 I will give it another try later. I normally see this happening with both my D3 camera's, if the BG is very light esp with blue skies.

Thanks again for all comments and suggestions it's appreciated

IQ looks great and I like the surroundings. The grass on the right balances the comp IMO... Probably just being picky now but I would love to see the pupil, but I have had the same issue with my Lioness shot, the shadow of the eyelid and the eyes not fully open due to the sun...nice one

Can't really comment to much on colour as I am still away, but as Peter said, there is a certain amount of yellow in there which if adjusted will perhaps give a better feel overall & depth. I like the stance and the grass to the RHS balances the image nicely.

Just curious why such a high ISO when you are at 1/8000 sec:2

Here's a repost, reduced the yellow and decided on a brighter BKG. I also done a few adjustments in PS, basically levels and sharpening for the web. I don't see a halo in this one
Steve these cheetah got me by surpise and only gave me a few seconds. It was late morning and was hoping for some action, always keep my SS up these days. The D3s files at ISO 640 are very good, don't really have a problem setting the camera that high.
