    Hard to get these guys out of the low bushes and on a better perch!

    I agree, I only seem to find them on the ground rooting through a pile of leaf debris!

    The light was pretty soft, off to the left a bit. I might try increasing the exposure overall just a bit, perhaps .25, and perhaps do some selective curves work in the darker areas.

    The head is a little soft, to my eye, and perhaps a bit more sharpening will bring it up a notch.
    If mine, I might do a bit more cropping, in most from the left, and a small amount from top and right.

    Good job getting him off the ground!

    A towhee! No, they're not easy to shoot, as common as they are. Nice work rising to a fairly rare occasion. I echo Randy. I'd brighten her up a bit, sharpen, and adjust the crop.
