Nice Joel, very nice! Love the detail, color, eye contact, background, and composition. Excellent understanding and use of DOF at f/4, with the bird virtually parallel to the plane of the sensor. Was this an overcast day? I'm a little surprised at the high ISO and slow shutter speed. Not a criticism at all, just a curiosity. The perch is a little large for the bird, but this is minor compared to all the positives. Well done!

Love the simplicity of this one. Really like it, agree on the techs. Assume it was low light.

Thanks for the nice comments....yes it was very low light, overcast, thus the relatively high ISO, slow shutter and f/4.
