    Default egret babies

I quess the babies at about 2 weeks old. The runt in the bottom right is probably a week behind. The rookery is in the middle of the lake with no predators other than hawks and these babies where well hidden in a mass of nests in the cypress trees. Clean BG not an option. Had to use 500 iso to compensate for wave movement along with -3ev for a little more speed. lightened up in cs5 and little noise reduction. cropped to 60% of original
probably +/- 500 egrets (mostly cattle egrets and a dozen or so little blues)
Kayak allows me to get closer without stressing the birds

    Model: NIKON D300
    ISO: 500
    Exposure: 1/1600 sec
nikon 300f4 afs with 1.4 tc
    Aperture: 8.0
    Focal Length: 420mm

Pretty tough situation here with partly shaded and side lit conditions, looks like there is something OOF in the FG??
Wish the second bird was in focus too and looks like a bit of noise creeping in to some areas (underexposed original??)
Composed pretty well with the back birds eye on a ROT intersection which is cool.
