This forum gently pushes me to try things I'd never otherwise attempt.

I took one of my blue textures, added white stars using brush tool. used it as a texture for a photo of red roses, various duplications with different blending modes. Not a great image, but fun to do.

A fun and festive image for sure! Love the Red/White and Blue theme. The stars in the BG add some nice texture. I might try sharpening the roses just a touch.

Anita, nicely done. Love the red, white and blue. The stars look good. Agree on a little more sharpening on the roses.

Anita, that's what it's all about for me! I'm glad it works for you too. Really fun image and I love the patriotic colors. I always enjoy images like this that mix graphic and organic elements. Very artistic!

Anita, most of us enjoy the fun of experimenting with our images. Like most artists not everything is great but the fun is in the trying...I think this fits the theme, nice colors. Well done
