    Bison in blizzard

Just watched a special on YNP and just had to look back through my images.
The conditions these animals endure in winter is incredible. This bison is head plowing through the snow in search of grass. Image taken at-37F in blizzard like conditions, and I cannot wait to return.

Hi Chas I really like the 'ethereal' feel to this, with very subtle tones, juxtapose to the clean white of the snow blizzard. It's amazing to see them using the 'snow shovel' of a head, in search for grass as you say, swaying from side to side. With the snow blowing off the crest of the hollow it certain conveys a coldness & chill factor.

An excellent image, portraying the struggle to survive in harsh conditions and extremely well executed as ever, under the circumstances.

Chas, this is too good for me to even weigh in with some nonsensical critique . Maybe one word...epic??? :2

Just sitting here and enjoying the image which takes me to a place and setting in which I wish I could sit with camera in hand one day.
