I posted a shot from this series last year sometime, which was a telephoto landscape of a "cliche" lonely tree against a backdrop of towering cumulus clouds.

I revisited my files, and realised I had actually shot some other shots for panoramic stitching. More details on my latest blog post.

Would love to know what you think? Obviously 1024px wide just doesn't do this justice. I am contemplating a large print of this for my home...now to find an open wall .

    Techs:
    Canon 7D with 100-400mm @ 105mm
3 images stitched together, conversion done in Nik Silver Efex.

Great cloud formations and the B & W works really well with this image. Love it....

Love this one. The tree shows how huge the clouds are. Very well done, Morkel.

I would like to see a large image.
    Amazing clouds.
I would maybe take a bit off the left side, the rest is so dramatic, it seems kind of placid.
    Excellent photo.

    Hey Morkel,
This one is stronger than the OP......I remember......might tweak the MG .......just above the base a bit more to bring out the last bits of depth......but very nicely done reprocessing!

A very nice conversion, composition/crop choice for the amazing clouds. Excellent, Morkel.

    Bingo!

I too would trim the LHS to bring the tree, so important to this story, to a stronger position.

IMHO, you really need to make your watermark smaller; at least make the symbol the size of your website font even if you want the larger signature.

Way to go, Morkel...stunning shot. the size perspective is excellent because of the tree.

I like the cropped version; at least on my monitor the © is the same size in both postings.

Morkel, this is very nicely done. Awesome clouds and I love the blackened foreground.

This is a very powerful image, Morkel. The clouds are amazing, particularly with the tree for size comparison. I like the original comp, but prefer the cropped version which does give more perspective. Really very nice.
