Got this beautiful looking juv Short Toed Snake Eagle, resting on a anthill. he was quite calm and let me get close. I waited for quite sometime to get him stareing at me with the wind blowing from behind to give that Lion Face style.

    Spec: 1/1250, F 7.1, ISO 800

    Mk4+500mm+1.4TC

    Regards,

    Kiran

Great shot! These eyes are KILLER. Maybe just a tad bit more room on the left side... only suggestion.

I can only echo the comments:eek: it must be an incredibly good area for raptors, and the setting is quite mind-blowing. Well done on another top class image!

Kiran, you nailed this one. Among everything else, loved the stare and the raised foot pose. Love the tightness, but I think this will be better with just a tad more room on three sides.

Stunning IQ and sharpness as usual, Kiran. This almost looks unreal, it's such a perfect portrait. Awesome work.

Absolutely amazing in every way! I don't know what else to say... the perch, background, exposure, composition. All spot on. I might like a little more space around the bird, but such a minor nit. Way to go!

Beautiful!! Great details, colours, perch, BG. Although I like it like this, you could try a version with the eyes levelled...sometimes it works better (sometimes not)...worth a try.

    Thanks Dumay and Chris Bhai,

We have a few resident species and a lot of migratory species of raptors who visit Our part of the country, it's just I am so much in love with raptors that I only go in search of them.

    Thanks again, regards,

    Kiran.
