This image is of the USS Missouri and the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. I felt this was fitting for the message within the image, of the Missouri being docked facing the sunken Arizona. TheArizona, which represented the beginning of the war in the Pacific and the Missouri representing the end of that war, in that it was the location of the signing of the surrender by the Japanese.

I overlaid the flag, which is an image I took of the flag that was flying over the Arizona during our tour. I also flipped the flag image, to show the flag waving from the Missouri to the Arizona.

Modification was simple in that it involved the overlay and flipping of the flag image on the image of the battleships.

    Have a safe 4th

Mark, One of your best! I like the framing but again not sold on the two tone thin line. At first glance I thought maybe a bit more contrast but the more I look at it the more I think it looks good as is.

A beautiful tribute, Mark! The flag overlay is perfect. I like the framing. The only thing I might change would to have a bit more room on the left between the Missouri and the edge of the frame. Very nicely done!

I like the symbolism of this image. Thank you for explaining it. The large flag works nicely here.
