    Another image from my Giants Castle trip last week. I cloned out a tracking device with an aerial from its back.

    I like the banking angle, shows of the top nicely. Good eye contact, sharp, with a typical GC BG. Well captured.

    Terrific shot. Wonderful wing position nicely framing the look-back head. Super detail, nice light and BG. Can't suggest a thing that would make this better.

    Chris,
    I had this picture up on my monitor and my husband walked by and said " That shot is good enough for you to quit your day job". Alas, I had to tell him it wasn't mine. ( he isn't a birder so wouldn't know about bearded vultures in Africa and not Nova Scotia!) So back to work for me!
    I love this picture although I still prefer #1.
