Photographed this Spoonie at korsmans bird sanctuary benoni South Africa.
I had to compress this IMG quite a bit for BPN requirements.

Stunning detail and well exposed. I like the background colours as well. Very well done!
Nico:
Nice 3D effect here, with great wing display. Always fun to see the differences between your spoonie and ours!
I might very slightly tone down the clump of grasses on the right lower frame edge, just to keep our eye on the bird. Subtle, but I think it would polish the image a bit!
I also think the image could go just a tiny bit brighter, perhaps .25 stop.
Cheers
Randy
Stunning exposure, pose and details Nico - making that 7D shine mate!
Where in Boksburg is this sanctuary?? :2
I like the hint of blur in the wingtips, though I imagine some would like them sharper
A beauty!! I love the balancing play between the grasses in ULC and the ones in LRC...very neat. Great landing pose, and the exposure looks good from here. I would only eliminate the dark spot touching the wing. Very well done.
Wonderful wing position . You can tell from the shadow of the beak that the sun was high , but you have managed the exposure perfectly !!!
Well timed here Nico, and just love the overall exposure. Nicely separated from the BG too. I havent been back there since we shot together there sometime last year. Was this from inside, or over the fence.
Excellent! Great light, exposure control and pose!
Hey Nico,
