Down with viral , so was going through some old files and got this one . One of last year's image .This was a trip to Sinhagad valley where we get this brilliantly coloured winter migrant . This was shot in Feb and hence the reddish BG , where the grass is in the tansition phase before turning yellow .

Camera : Canon 1D Mk III
    Lens : 600mm f4 IS
    Shutters : 1/400
    Aperture : f 4
    Speed : ISO 400

    Cheers,
    Rakesh

Fantastic look back pose and love how he pops against the bg.
Perhaps because of the burst of blue, the OOF fg does not bother me at all.
I would crop from the right so that the perch crosses across the entire frame.
    Lovely sharpness.
    Get well soon.

    Hey Rakesh,
I normally don't like all the elements in the BG although this one has a nive feel to it. I would be tempted to tone it down just for comparison but this one has an interesting look!

I like this a lot the contrast of the bird and BG are awesome. Love the textures. Nice one!

    Nice pic.
There is a large spot on the bird that looks like a water spot on the lens or sunspot, and it looks like the left edge of the bird/tail was behind a stem of grass.

I did a quick edit to try to minimize that and open up the blacks just a touch.

Rakesh, I like the inquisitive pose, and those blues are simply stunning. They stand out so well from the lighter BG.

Agree on the blue colours. The background is stunning and very sharp detail on the subject. A super image!

Rakesh, this has got to be one of the best shots of verditer I've seen. The surreal Bg and the brightly colored sharp bird with look back pose....beautiful and highly unique. I'd take this BG over a clean one. definitely one of your best. Thx for sharing.
