    Canon 7D Canon 500mm f4 L IS ISO 400 1/640 sec f10
    A shot taken in the back garden, I did a little research to optimise DOF and came up with f10-f11.
    All C & C welcome.

    Very nice, with plenty of complementary colours. Sharp as posted. Very calm pose - this guy looks rather friendly. I realize you may have wanted to include the perch's "knob" at right edge, but I still would have preferred you swing your lens more to the left (I'd love half the room at right, with the same amount added in front). Pity about the broken-off piece near the foot!

    Yes I agree entirely with the views on tweaking - it would look better, but I thought it would look just a little too perfectly presented if you know what I mean, nature doesn't tend to be always perfectly clean and tidy, it's us who wants to see it that way - I am not always too sure why we have this perpetual drive to make things "perfect" from a human point of view - as opposed to portraying the capture as it was. I reckon man tends to think he always knows better than nature:eek::eek:
