Gorgeous day in Melbourne today with lots of sunshine and a cool foggy start. This Swallow was continuously hawking for insects and then returning to this perch so was able to take some great flight shots due to the predictable behaviour. Sun was a bit high for flight stuff at the time I took this shot but still turned out OK I think. Decided on a vertical crop for this one, let me know what you think.

Head looks lovely with good sharpness and detail. Composition is a bit tight IMHO. Looks a bit over-saturated when opened in PS - did you boost colours? Looks like you forgot to save as sRGB for web.

+1 DPP saturation and thats it I think. Wasn't sure about the tighter vert crop but felt right at the time.
Horizontal felt like it had too much empty space in front.

Lovely wing position and light...I would sharpen it a touch more.

Neat! Awesome exposure, and sharp. Love the front wing (not so much the far one though). I do wish it was at the very tip of the perch, but this is certainly alright as is too. Also a bit tight in the frame for me.
